New Minimum, Living and Adjustable Wage

New Minimum, Living and Mobile Wage: Government arbitration after failed wage talks
The National Council on Employment, Productivity and the Minimum, Living and Mobile Wage failed to reach consensus at its August 28 meeting, and under the authority granted by Article 137 of Law 24,013, the Ministry of Human Capital unilaterally set the new schedule of increases through Resolution 4/2026.
The schedule establishes monthly, staggered increases through April 2027:

Between the value in effect in August and the final step of the new ruling (April 2027), the minimum wage rises a cumulative 16% in nominal terms.
The minimum wage applies to workers covered under the Employment Contract Law, the Agricultural Labor Regime, and the National Public Administration, excluding family allowances.
The resolution also sets unemployment benefits at 75% of the worker’s best net, normal and regular monthly pay over the six months prior to termination, with a floor of 50% and a ceiling of 100% of the minimum wage in effect at the time.
The measure was published in the Official Gazette on September 2, 2026.
